Onslow x Black Estate Dinner

Onslow will host an extraordinary dining experience, bringing together the talents of Josh Emett’s Onslow team and Black Estate’s celebrated kitchen and winemaking team for one night only. 

This exclusive collaboration will feature a unique five-course menu, with each team contributing alternate courses, alongside six paired biodynamic wines.

This collaborative evening offers an immersive experience, where guests can engage with both Onslow and the Black Estate team as they share the inspiration and stories behind each course and wine pairing.

Black Estate

Black Estate is a family-owned wine producer on the slopes of Waipara Valley in North Canterbury. Husband and wife team Nicholas Brown and Pen Naish are deeply focused on their vineyards, using organic and biodynamic practices across their three sites to grow exceptional fruit. 

Their wines are crafted using traditional techniques with minimal intervention, reflecting the purity and uniqueness of each vineyard. Nicholas oversees the vineyard and winemaking, ensuring every bottle captures the true expression of their land.


Black Estate Restaurant

In addition to their renowned winemaking, Black Estate operates a celebrated two-hat restaurant overlooking their Home Vineyard. Awarded Winery Restaurant of the Year three times by Cuisine Good Food Guide (2019, 2021, and 2023), the restaurant has consistently maintained its two-hat rating since 2019. 

Head Chef Olly Le Maitre crafts seasonal dishes using local, organic produce, creating a dining experience that perfectly complements the estate's wines. 

Pen Naish oversees the restaurant, along with sales and marketing, ensuring the same level of care and dedication extends to the dining experience as it does to their winemaking.

Due to the nature of this event, bookings of 2 or less may be seated with other guests if required. 

As this event is focused around specific produce and ingredients from New Zealand and Australia, we unfortunately will not be able to cater for dietary requirements.
