May - Wild Game Month

As the cold weather creeps in we would love for you to embrace the slow food movement. Slow food is when dishes take longer to prepare and when we encourage you to take your time at the table. It’s also the perfect time to lock in a cosy long Sunday lunch at Onslow. During autumn and winter Onslow are offering a special 4 course lunch for only $79 with the option to upgrade to a full wine match.


The first weekend in May also marks the opening of duck shooting and signals the beginning of New Zealand's game season. To recognise this, Onslow’s first Sunday lunch series will be Hunter and Gatherer inspired with a 4-course wild game menu for all of May. 

Josh Emett and his team of chefs have been creating some delicious game dishes and here are some things you can expect to see on the menu: Rabbit Cassoulet, Venison Sausage Rolls, Confit Duck and more.  Given that we will let nature write the menu, our menu will change weekly depending on what we can source.
